"Ah~ the sweet smell of German air!" You giggled as you paced forward down the almost empty hallways.

It has been a year since you've left the country of Germany to study abroad in England. There you've met a nation by the name of Arthur Kirkland and the both of you became like family in an instant. You were always so intrigued by the Victorian period and all the other wonderful literature and rich history that England had so when you got a scholarship to study in England, you didn't even think twice.

You could still remember your chats with England that had Germany involved. You saw Germany, or Ludwig, as someone intimidating and strict but when England shoved all of those personal encounters with Germany, you felt your heart flutter at the innocence that you thought Germany never had.

"I guess I judged him wrongly… he's actually a sweetheart"

You were lost in thoughts when suddenly… a bond paper smacked to your face.

"GAH! W-what the hell is this!?" you squeaked as you removed the paper from your face. A flood of what seems to be documents swept to your feet like a wave of white water that covered your black shoes.

"Verdammt! Not again!" cried a voice coming from afar which was in chorus with heavy footsteps.

You squinted to try to see who was hurriedly running towards you and to your surprise it was actually Germany himself! A blush of light pink tinted your cheeks as you watched him race towards you. Somehow he looked different; he had these eyeglasses that hang over his nose that went up and down as he stepped forward.

"Guten Morgen Mister Germa-"

You were silenced from your attempt to greet the nation as he stumbled to you. Like in a slow motion, you panicked as you realized that he slipped from his own documents and now his face was just a few inches away from yours. You felt your weak knees give up and made you fall backwards, bringing Germany with you.

"GAH! Es tut mir leid! I'm terribly sorry!" He stammered as he pushed himself up.

"I-It's alright… uhm… sir Germany…" you answered as you took his offer to pull you up.

"I'm really not myself today… I'm sorry again…" Germany apologized as he looked down, placing his hand behind his slick hair and desperately trying to avoid eye contact.

"So England is right about you… you easily get embarrassed!" you chuckled as you knelt down and tried to collect the messy papers on the ground

"A-ah! So you've met him… that Dummkopf…" he muttered as he tried to help you as well

For a moment, you stole a glimpse of the shy German in front of you. You were struck by the serious yet gentle look on his face. So many questions came rushing into your mind until you finally noticed that Germany was staring at you, giving off the you're-creeping-me-out look. You blushed hard as you tried to compose a good excuse for zoning out.

"A-Ah! I'm so-sorry! Here!" You stuttered as you unintentionally pushed the stack of papers to him

Somehow your sudden actions confused Germany but he tried to shrug it off as he pulled you up again.

"Vell… I still have a class… vhere are you going, ____?"  Germany asked as he arranged the papers stuck in his arms.

'He knows my name!? How is that possible!?' you panicked as your heart started to beat faster. You had no idea how the hell he knew what your name was or even if someone like him would even care to know your name. 'Maybe it was my noisy friend, Feliciano?' But darn! The way he pronounced your name with that strong German accent made your heart flutter even more.

"Well… I have physics class in room 309…"

"Vhat a coincidence! Ve're on ze same class!" Germany excitedly said as he smiled at you.

It was really hard to tell what kind of man Germany really is and the mere fact that his serious face suddenly became a friendly one, made you curious. You had this growing urge to know him more and a spark of thought suddenly invaded your head. 'Hey, why don't I become friends with him?' You wanted to slap yourself hard for that. You were so convinced that a nation like him would not want to be friends with an ordinary person like you 'But then again… Arthur, Feliciano and Kiku weren't like that… So maybe? I have a chance?'

"_____? Are you alright?"

You suddenly snapped back into reality and nodded. 'That's the second time I zoned out! _____! You're so embarrassing!' you scolded yourself

"Jour vace iz all red… are you alright?" Germany asked as he placed his right hand above your forehead

"J-JA!" you answered as a slight squeal made its way out of your lips

After the heart-stopping movie inspired scene, you and Germany finally decided to go together to your physics class. Unfortunately for you, Germany was seated next to you. You could barely concentrate on your exercise because of your small distance to Germany, making your paper look all white and blank, not to mention your deep hatred for the subject made it even harder for you to answer.

You groaned and lightly hit your head on the table like a defeated player in a chess game

"Kesesese! Giving up already _____?" said an annoying voice coming from behind you

"Oh shut it Gilbert! You're no good in this too…" you flatly spitted out as you glared at the laughing Prussian.

"Oh stop being so grumpy ____! Oi! West! Why don't you help your little princess over here?" Prussia teased as he pointed at you

Germany angrily turned around and glared daggers at his brother "Mein gott! Vould you just shut up!!"

"Kesesese! I love it when you're embarrassed! Don't worry lil' brother of mine… I won't tell.. THAT!"

"I vill seriously murder jou…"

You were already drowning in the situation and you wanted to just melt away from all of this when suddenly a hand tapped your shoulder. "Veh~ Oh hello there ___! We're in the same class! Isn't that wonderful!" Italy squeaked as he hugged you.

"You're late again Feli!" you giggled as you hugged the Italian back

From the corner of your eye you could see Japan behind Italy, still being stoic as always "Hi there Kiku!"

The Japanese man smiled and gave you his signature respectful bow. "Good day to you miss ____"

"Oh wow! You and Germany are seatmates?" Italy exclaimed as he released you from his tight hug

"Shut jour mouth…" Germany ranted as he looked away

"Kesese! This is going to be interesting! I'm putting this in the diary of awesome me!"

Months already passed and the same pattern keeps on happening everyday in your physics class. Somehow you were already getting ideas on why they were doing that but you would always try to desperately reject your "fantasies". You just had to wait and confirm it from them but it looks like it wasn't going to happen anytime soon.

Early Tuesday morning, you came in to your physics class looking all depressed and sick. Italy kept on worrying about you while Japan gave you some of his traditional medicine. Honestly, you were just stressed and tired of the bulks of projects… and the assumptions that killed you every physics class.

"Experiment time!" your teacher excitedly announced as all your other classmates made their way to their respective partners. This was always the time that Italy would groan out of disappointment that Germany wasn't his permanent lab partner. "Poor Italy… stuck with his abusive big brother…" you chuckled as you grabbed your books from your bag

Well it wasn't just Italy who is sad during experiment time; you were down at the dumps as well. Germany was partnered with a cute German girl who was probably the crown jewel of the class. She was really pretty and you envied how Germany was so helpful and mature around her. "Lucky girl…"

But today was just the last straw. You were so annoyed at how she acted all cutesy and flirty around Germany and you just lost it. When the class was finally done and asked to go back to their seats, you dragged yourself beside Germany and placed the books, with a heavy thud, on top of the table.

"Are you alright?"

"Oh why would you care of all people?" you hissed as you tried to look away and crossed your arms

"Vell… I'm your seatmate"

"Very nice Ludwig!" you shouted but it seems the class is too busy gossiping to even notice you

"Vhat iz your problem?" Germany asked as he stood up from his seat

Prussia noticed the situation and leaned toward his brother "Kesese! West… you're so naïve!" he whispered

Tears were starting to form… your eyesight was getting blurry and this was no secret to Germany. Both of you noticed the German girl waving at him and this sort of gave Germany an idea why you were acting that way.

"Just get it over with West!" Prussia teased as he gave Germany a slight push

"Can ve… go outside?" Germany asked you as he tried to steady himself

But before you were able to reject his offer, Germany grabbed you by the wrist and dragged you to the back door of the classroom and straight to the school's botanical garden. You kept on yelling at Germany to let you go but deep in your heart… you wanted to know what he was going to say.

"Look… _____...." he started

"Save me the explanation Ludwig… I know what you're going to say…" you said defensively

For a moment, Germany's grip on you tightened which made you wince a bit. He tried to read your thoughts from your eyes but you refused and looked away. 'Darn it ____!'

"Vhat is it then?" he asked in a serious tone

You were finally breaking your silence. For so long you wanted to know how Germany really felt for you… but you would end up getting disappointed constantly when experiment time comes. Tears started to leak from your eyes and you finally shouted…

"That… that you find me stupid for acting this way! That you like some girl and I'm acting like a spoiled child! Give me a break Ludwig! I get it okay? I promise I would stay away from you and-"

"…don't"

You were silenced as Germany interrupted you by placing his hand over your mouth. You were intoxicated by the powerful perfume that stuck to his hand… your heart calmed down a bit but your eyes were still watery. Finally, Germany broke his silence and said..

"Listen… vhat if I told you… that you're the girl?"

Your heart stopped for a moment.

Shades of dark red dominated your cheeks as his question sank deeper into your understanding. He's actually confessing in front of you and there you are… stuck being dumbfounded… blank from all the possible words to express joy.

"W-what?" you stuttered as Germany finally removed his hand

"I like you ____... okay? So stop being jealous towards ze wrong person." He assured you as he trapped you in a warm hug.

You hugged him back too and mumbled "but… ich liebe dich…"

Germany's hug became a lot tighter after you said those words and replied… "zat works too…"

A cute little fangirl squeal escaped your mouth and everything blacked out. "Oi! Verdammt! _____! Are you alright!?" Germany panicked as he tried to shake your unconsciousness away.

"Veh~ I guess it was a happy ending after all!"

"Kesesese! Oi Japan! Are you recording all of this?"

"Prease take fur responsibirity for this…"
